Fashion Trends: Custom Extensions

 

Custom Extensions are the new way of getting the look. There are many reasons to get hair extensions. Everyday wear and tear hereditary reasons or for just the glamour. Hair extensions are used everyday by celebrities (unnoticed) to achieve the fuller, healthier looking hair. The extensions can be colored and highlighted, curled with an iron or blow-dried with a round brush. Curly, wavy, or straight hair. Long or short cut.

 

There are three types of extensions:  Sewn, Hair Bond & Fused Strands

 

Þ     Sewn in extensions consist of controlling (French braiding) your natural hair. The 100% human hair is then sewn onto your corn roll. The extensions are cut to blend in with your normal hair. Application time depends on how much hair is added. Est. time is 1-4 hours. This usually will last a week or two depending on the maintenance and care. Removal will require an additional person. Consultation suggested.

Þ     Bond in extensions consist of parting the hair in sections and using hair bonding glue to the new growth.  The extensions are then cut into a style. Application time depends on the amount of hair added to the  scalp. Est. time 1-4 hours.  The extensions will last until the next shampoo.  Removal is done with shampoo. Consultation is required.

Þ     Fused extensions consist of gluing individual pieces of  100% human hair to your own. The process will take about 1-8 hours. The hair is then cut into a style. This technique will last 3 months. The hair can be shampooed, colored, and treated like natural hair.   Removal requires an additional person. Consultation required.
